JumpGa is a component of ‘SUPER-AGER Fitness’ that also encompasses KUN-AQUA – non-swimming training (imagine Tai-Chi in the water), and a strategy for Mind Fitness, Change, Confidence, and Discipline. 

The No Saga, SUPER- AGER Fitness retreat  is for 40s- 60s: healthier and more adventurous than ever. Whether you’re a runner, raising kids, running a big company, recovering from injury, training for an athletic event, or you’ve reached a crossroads in your life and know it’s time to put YOU back in charge of your health and wellbeing; to become the best and healthiest version of you.

The retreat is an all-inclusive break that runs from Monday to Friday. It includes the cost of transfer to/from Tring train station to Champneys, all meals, snacks, juices, accommodation, activities and massages.

IS SUPER-AGER FITNESS FOR YOU?

The SUPER-AGER Fitness retreat is where the body and mind magic happens. It is focused on gain and not deprivation. Neither is it a juice fast, boot-camp, weight-loss or fat farm break. During your stay you will quickly start to feel more energised, more engaged and more empowered so that you really can make and maintain healthier choices when you return to your everyday life. It is about fitness but in a way that supports and celebrates your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Who doesn’t want to wake up in the morning feeling more energised, looking great and ready and able to take on the challenges of the day ahead? Whatever your background, whatever your current level of health and fitness, this retreat will show you that you can achieve that life-affirming goal of taking control of your wellbeing, taking ownership of your health and taking your life to that next level of engagement and enjoyment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During your SUPER-AGER fitness week you will shift the way you eat, you will have explored the English countryside, discovered new levels of self-discipline and developed new and do-able ways to stay fit. Although the retreat is both physically and mentally challenging it is also inspiring, informative, invigorating and nurturing.  Within a few days you will start to feel lighter, more clear-headed and have more energy. Some people lose weight as a by-product of their healthy living programme but results may vary depending on the individual.

YOUR DAY

  • 8am: JumpGa.
  • 9.30am: Breakfast, Protein shake.
  • 11-1pm: Workshop, Free Time or massage.
  • 1pm: Lunch.
  • 2-4:30pm: Country Walk, Free Time or massage.
  • 4:30pm: Kun-Aqua.
  • 6pm: Free Time / Steam / Sauna/ Jacuzzi/Read.
  • 7pm: Dinner

Each day builds upon the previous day so that guests are given time to increase their stamina and endurance for the more challenging hikes and activities.  A sample day will include a JUMPGA and KUN-AQUA session with a combination of the following optional classes on the Champneys timetable:

  • Mindfulness & Meditation
  • Country Walks
  • Spin
  • Yoga
  • Stretch & Relax
  • Wellbeing Talks, Nutritional chats and juicing sessions
  • Deep tissue, massage
  • Steam, sauna and jacuzzi

SUPER-AGER EATING

Good eating is not a ‘diet’ but rather a lifestyle choice.  If you had to choose a particular diet to follow, it  should be a ‘Fad-Free’ diet.  Over the 5 days you will be provide with a very focused menu to give your body a break from certain foods and drink that studies show have the potential to be irritants or problematic for some people.  It is healthy to have an awareness of what we are consuming and why, and know the effects certain foods and drinks have on us, if any effect at all.
